We recently told you about how 3D-Printing is being adopted by French artisans. Today we continue on the subject, talking to you about the Maker Faire that was held in Brittany – on the West Coast of France – last week. With 140 makers showing how they use 3D-Printing and other digital fabrication tools and more than 2500 visitors, the event was a success. (Those number might seem small if you compare them to US Maker Fairs, but for the location, it was definitively a satisfying outcome)
This fair was a good occasion to emphasize how the new technologies enable local fabrication and make the most of all open-sources, coming from all over the world.
