Saint Joseph High School, located in Brooklyn, New York, embarked on their journey with Fab Lab Connect’s School Fab Lab last week. Long eager to learn and embrace digital fabrication tools, drones, robotics and virtual reality, the school was excited to officially launch their own FabLab, located adjacent to the school library. FLC was able to capture some of the activities and excitement during the evening reception on March 30th, 2017.
The evening was filled with both learning and plenty of hands-on activities. The reception kicked off with the ribbon cutting ceremony, using scissors fabricated by the 3D printer. Guests partook in the fun, utilizing the brand-new School Fab Lab stations. The Virtual Reality Station demoed the Fab Lab VR HTC VIVE early access game, while the Augmented Reality Station showcased the new Moverio BT-300 Smart Glasses, something not even on the market yet!
These stations and more are part of Saint Joseph’s new School Fab Lab, bringing light into their days and giving hope and excitement for the future!
