The topic of money is one of five main concepts impacting the region that is hosting the upcoming Fab14 conference.
The other main topics at the Fab14 conference include food, mobility, machines, and access.
From trading objects to a circular economy that aims to revolutionize the way people purchase things, Fab14 panelists will discuss novel solutions during MONEY day. Society is changing using new ways of trading and becoming more of a collaborative system than the centralized one that has been the norm for more than five centuries.
FAB14 will take place in Toulouse, France, from July 16-22 at the Pierre Baudis Convention Center.
The event aims to gather people from the global network to debate and build the Fab Lab Network and to forms of knowledge networking. The most distinguished investigators and specialists from all over the globe are invited, generating activities and traversal impact in the Toulouse. The motto “Fabricating Resilience” sets the stage for sharing experiences and creating a collaborative network.
Fab14 is one of many annual Fab Events, which serve to integrate all the knowledge acquired during the year by 1,200+ Fab Labs in the world. The participation for content is based on what the active members propose, that see the space as a showroom for their projects, workshops, ideas, and acknowledge that all the work will be seen and appreciated by everyone. The key is the networking among speakers, tutors and volunteers, and what they can make in this new world of digital fabrication.
Working groups are encouraged to attend this event because they offer an opportunity for discussion and collaborative development around networking and challenges that arise in the community. It is a way to expose ideas to those that share the same interest and to create, develop and come up with new ideas that will help everyone involved. Applications for working groups are being accepted now.
