Holo-Comm, Hologram, Three-dimensional image, Light
Hologram is a A three- dimensional image formed by the interference of light beams from a laser or other coherent light source. The term ‘hologram’ can refer to both the encoded material and the resulting image. A holographic image can be seen by looking into an illuminated holographic print or by shining a laser through a hologram and projecting the image onto a screen. Other methods of projecting and reflecting images are often described as holographic – or even misleadingly holograms, because they have an optical presence, spatial quality or iridescent colors.
This project is a hologram device that can be used for communication. It transfers the image of the person sitting in front of them onto the hologram by subtracting the background. It’s a 2.5D hologram device. The world is moving towards the different formats of viewing technology like VR and AR and the next step in that process would be hologram. The hologram works on the principle of peppers ghost, which is actually just a reflection of an image to an inclined reflective panel (glass, acrylic, plastic and etc.). Using this principle a device is built that can be used in the field of communication particularly in video chatting and conferencing.
