First Session : “When will a woman create the next Google “
The speakers shared the challenge for women entrepreneurs to get venture capital funding.
However, they pointed tout that, women are better in crowdfunding most probably because they are more inclusive.
Claudia Iannazzo (CEO & Partner at Pereg Ventures) stressed the importance of spending time networking i.e. 20 to 25 hours a week
Elizabeth Galbut (President of Ventureneer) gave us our moto “find your champion who believes in you and will be your advocate”
Second Session: Women, take your seat at the table of innovation!
This season was an interview of Kathryn Finney, founder of Digital Undivided, who works to increase diversity in the tech industry
Third Session: STEM & digital are for all!
The Moderator was Shellac Kolhatkar, Features Editor and National Correspondant at Bloomberg Business Week, and among the speakers, were:
– Rachel Weiss ‘VP, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for L’Oréal)
She talked about the fund to finance Innovation she started 5 years ago, and told the audience how she loves to meet middle schooler to talk about her careers to inspire girls.
– Rachel Rothman Hearst (Chief Technologist at The Good Housekeeping – Hearst Magazines)
She is happy to share great programs in STEM & digital innovation
– Sree Sreenivasan (Chief Digital Officer at Metropolitan Museum) talked about media lab at the Metropolitan museum
