Facial recognition safe box, Storing device, Fablabconnect
We need to make the following items: The case itself for the safe, a locking mechanism, a user interface or some sort of application running on a device, a camera that works with AI-software. It was mentioned that we should really think carefully about the packaging of the product. We were given the tip to add another wall in the box where all the electronic parts can be stored since you don’t want them sticking out everywhere.
The idea is to make a safe facial recognition so that you don’t need to remember a PIN code or carry a key around. This project is a storing device which unlocks with facial recognition. Only the owner can enter, and everyone else will be unable to open it. Furthermore it sends pictures to your mobile device through email of whoever is trying to open it. To use it, simple click the button and let it recognize your face by looking straight into the camera. If it’s the owner the box will automatically open and close by itself within 30 sec. An LED indicates if the box is running low on power.
