OLADIC and Fundación Siemens participated in the #Fab13 water pollution workshop “Water of the Earth!
A large number of children, accompanied by their parents and relatives, arrived at the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center (GAM) in Santiago on Saturday, August 5 to participate in the International Meeting of Digital Fabrication, FAB 13 Event organized by FabLab Santiago, Fab Foundation, The Center for Bits and Atoms of MIT and the School of Design of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
On that occasion, the Latin American Observatory of Science and Mathematics Didactics (OLADIC), together with the Siemens International Foundation, were present with the free workshop “Water of the Earth”, with Delia Cisternas, Master in Didactics of Experimental Sciences, and Carolina Martínez, PhD in Education and Society. The activity sought to raise awareness about the pollution of the water we drink and the importance of its care for our health and future generations. With this approach, the facilitators managed to capture the attention of several children between the ages of 4 and 13 who participated actively in the experimental workshop.
