Beijing architecture firm HuaShang Tengda made a completely 3D printed house, a sturdy two-storey villa with two and a half metre thick walls and three metre-high ceilings.
HuaShang Tengda say the 400sqm structure is durable enough to withstand an earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale.
Buildings have been 3D printed before but they have been spliced together from different parts and then pieced together using a combination of manual labour and cranes.
While the Beijing-based company oversaw the project, there was little physical labour involved in the process.
