Parking Space Detection, Device, Parking lot, Free Spaces
In this project, the light is reflected and it comes from a static laser beam placed in front of a mirror that is driven by a motor. The mirror changes angles directing the light towards the reflectors of the empty parking spaces. The system detects if the parking space is empty or occupied with a camera that recognizes objects, this way it defines if there is a car parked in or not. In case the parking space is empty, the system program moves the position of the mirrors to redirect the laser light and signal the empty spaces in the parking lot, using the least amount of energy possible. It reduces the costs of energy, maintenance and infrastructure.
